Area Resident Denies Validity Of Global Warming
By Steve Becker
[Burbia Satire Wire] Ron Weinberg, a New Jersey psychologist, reportedly challenged the validity of global warming in a conversation at a bar mitzvah reception recently in Maplewood, NJ.
"He basically said it's bogus," said a witness to the interaction, who requested anonymity. "We were sitting at the table, eating and just shooting the sh*t, and [Weinberg] comes right out and says something like, ‘I don't believe it. It's all hype. I'm not any warmer than I used to be. As a matter of fact, I'm colder.' We all laughed, till we realized he wasn't joking."
Another participant in the conversation confirmed the story. "I'm not sure how the subject came up," she said. "Somebody said something like, ‘Man, it's hot in here," to which someone else said something like, ‘Yeah, it's that global warming.' Then [Weinberg] says something like, ‘Global warming's totally unproven. It's a myth.'
"We were shocked. Nobody knew what to say. We all just immediately increased our drinking, to avoid the discomfort."
Weinberg was later approached, sources confirmed, directly by the Bar Mitzvah, a 13-year boy, and asked to leave the party. Reportedly annoyed, he asked ‘Why?" The boy reportedly said, "You know. Now go."
