B-Rant- submitted by b-team on 05/31/2007Leaf Blowers: Luxuries Or Essentials?We've been asked countless questions on the "leaf blower" issue. Here's a typical question -- and our answer. Question--Dear Burbia: I pay a gardener to cut and maintain my lawn. But my neighbor tells me I still must own a leaf blower. Is that true? Answer--Dear Neil: No. You don't need to own a leaf blower. But if you don't, you'll be the laughingstock of your neighborhood. It would be like having a garage and not having a 2-seat power mower in it, or bags of mulch stacked high up against the walls. too funny, this is. i know these questions aren't real but they're close, that's what makes it great. new town rule: leaf blowers in every home. i'm a council member in my indiana town. my colleagues are fools. but i'm proposing this change in our code.
