I get into fights every weekend about this. He wants to see some dopey action flick, i want to see some beautiful intelligent real flick. He's wrongg and i['m right, and I can't iunderstand why he doesn't see it.

so you want him to lie about enjoying a crappy movie? men look for different things in a movie than women do. guys like action, guns, female nudity, explosions, and cars. women like to go to movies that make them depresses. i.e. chick flicks. a comedy movie is awsome also.. maybe if you have problems at the movies compromise? you pick one movie.. the guy picks the next.. but dont ask him to pretend to like a movie... thats just like lying.. i dont like to lie. so i wont.

How hard is it to rotate? My girlfriend and I see movies nearly every week, we rotate who pays (because she's too proud to let me pay all the time and I'm not arrogant enough to force it on her) and thusly, who get's to pick the movie.

Give and take, if anything you do makes you miserable to make someone else happy, that's pure poison that will do nothing but foster resentment for whoever you're with.
