It locks in place; it can support multiple people (up to 1000 pounds). It's flame retardant. It stores easily inside the room or a nearby closet. And it's made of "air-craft" grade aluminum.

Why air craft grade? Does the manufacturer intend the ladder to be used as an aviation vehicle? As far as we know, no -- except (thinking out loud) maybe (improvisionally, and we absolutely don't recommend this; in fact we discourage it) as a creative kind of recreational apparatus for risk-takers and dare-devil freaks.
