Overheard - added on 01/08/2008 Pre-School Blues...We Left The City For This?Woman 1: Can't believe this...3 waiting lists. 4 rejections. Woman 2: (Nods) Woman 2: If I knew it was like this, we'd've stayed in the city. Woman 2: (Nods) Woman 1: What about you, and Ariel? Woman 2: It's tough. Woman 1: So she didn't get in anywhere either? Woman 2: (Pauses) She did. Woman 1: Where? Woman 2: I don't know. It doesn't... Woman 1: Where? Woman 2: It really.... Woman 1: D**nit, where? I'm fine. Where did... Woman 2: Everywhere. Woman 1: (Silent, pauses) Ariel? (Teary) Katey is so much smarter. You know it...I can't... Wow! What a nut job she is. I love it when other parents think their kids are smarter than everyone else's kids. No one has problems getting into daycare or anything like that around here.  |
