The World's Fastest Lawnmower & It's Only $11,000

Actually, it's $11,700 but the price is expected to come down a few dollars. This lawnmowing breakthrough was showcased at the recent Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference & Expo. (Somebody actually it named it that!)

The vehicle is eqaully unfortunately named -- Dixie Chopper Xcaliber Eco-Eager CNG Lawn Mower. But it promises to mow a 1-acre lawn in roughly 5 minutes and it runs on eco-friendly compressed natural gas. It's also one mo-fo of a machine; and, if you can afford it and you've got better things to do than mow your lawn and pollute your neighborhood with toxic gas emissions, the Dixie may be for you.
