Garages Remodeled as Souped Up Entertainment Centers. That's what Time Magazine says is happening; so does CNNMoney. Of course, our garage continues to defy the trend -- it's still a dank walls-covered-in-mossy-crap receptacle for cardboard boxes filled with our doodle pads from Jr. High and old Hi-Lites Magazines. There's probably not a lot of entertainment value in our garage -- unless you're a rat or mold spore. But, who knows, maybe some day we'll embrace the trend too and repurpose our garage . . . with comfy sofas and hard wood floors and 97-inch HDTVs and fridges filled with wine and beer, and overflowing bowls of Dove milk chocolates set on every pressed-tin end table. That way we can leave our two cars and old boiler tank on the front lawn and all the neighbors will understand, they'll be fine with it, since they'll have already done it themselves.
