Going Geodesic.  Geodesic domed homes are invading the burbs, according to The New York Times. Hot in the 1960s among the counterculture set -- who loved communing in the woods with nature, as well as other natural substances -- geodesic domes are terrifically energy efficient. Their interlocking glass panels open up huge interior space to sunlight and to the outdoors. And the new domed homes are anything but "bare bones." Many now being built offer all the amenities -- from full-functioning high tech home offices to oversized balconies, luxurious rec-rooms and comfy spas. Who knows . . . can the re-emergence of lava lamps, hula hoops and Nehru jackets be too far behind?
