So Easy, A Woman Could Drive It

We stumbled on this vintage car ad of the 1920s aimed at women -- and their presumed limited automative and technical skills. (We thought immediately of the Geico cavemen ads.) Here it's a foldable electric 3-wheeled car -- which didn't exactly set the automotive world on fire. Wonder why? To us, it looks anything but easy and simple...or desirable. More like a sluggish motorized hot dog stand. So easy a woman can drive it? We shudder at what men were expected to do then, and we're thankful cars -- and womens rights -- have come such a long way baby. Though we do appreciate this good laugh...
